What is a Public Adjuster?

Public adjusters are licensed insurance professionals who are hired to represent

 the policyholder and their residential or commercial property loss claims when 

disaster strikes. They are professional 

insurance claims advocates, fiduciaries, negotiators and consultants who only 

represent the policyholder. They do not provide representation services to the insurance company. Public adjusters usually come with a background, experience and knowledge in residential and or commercial construction, restoration, roofing, law, other areas of insurance, mitigation, fire inspecting, etc. 


What does a Public Adjuster do?

A public adjuster does many things. They 

are professional claims experts hired by the insured to represent the policy holder only

when disaster strikes and or claim disputes arise. They 

gather and document evidence and information crucial to the claim’s process, thoroughly investigate the cause and origin of damages, prepare detailed damage estimates and file claim packets while monitoring the claim’s process and crucial timelines, they advocate on behalf of the policy holder, negotiate and settle claims

attends inspections, meets with other 

field experts during the claim’s process, provide claims consulting, 

educates the policy 

holder, provides appraisals services, manages the claims process from beginning to

 end among many other services and all while, providing expertise 

to the policyholder.
